I am activating presence and connection through simple gestures, intuitive processes and movement to explore the influence of unseen forces on creation. My practice evokes the dance between notions of structure and gesture through the painterly installation of objects presented in states of precarity. By engaging with the concepts of transmission and reciprocity, drawing directly from Zenthai Shiatsu bodywork and ritual practices, my artworks manifest as performative ‘force encounters’ that morph and transform with each presentation. These intuitive material explorations and spatial configurations exist in states of tension that playfully seek limits and tipping points, searching for possibilities and transmutation.
