In How We Touch: reflecting on — relationships between Humans and — Digital Ecosystems through Contemporary Drawing, I explore the evolving connection between humans and digital ecosystems, examining how our interactions with technology reshape our perceptions and experiences. My work merges algorithmically generated compositions with the tactile process of screen printing, creating a dialogue between the virtual and the tangible.

Custom-coded algorithms, infused with elements of randomness, generate digital collages from appropriated social media imagery. These compositions simulate the relentless stream of disconnected visual information that defines our screen-mediated reality. By translating these digital creations into physical form, I reintroduce human touch, bridging the gap between digital immediacy and the deliberate act of mark-making.

A key element in my work is exploring structural colour created using nanoparticles. These materials capture the luminous intensity of digital screens while responding dynamically to light and viewer movement. The works shift and shimmer as the viewer moves, mirroring the ever-changing nature of digital content and inviting active engagement.

Through this work, I aim to make visible the often unseen forces of our digital ecosystem, encouraging viewers to reflect on their entanglement with technology. By bringing the digital and physical into conversation, I hope to contribute to the ongoing dialogue about art’s role in reflecting, shaping, and questioning our evolving relationship with the digital world.
